pre-1960: sanctuary is founded. everything that happens with the sanctuary happens. i forget

1960s: sanctuary is shut down. the ministry is scattered. research continues elsewhere.

???-1998: a wormhole is found near the old sanctuary site. by the lord of darkness. x-sector is formed. experiments begin on the wormhole.

late 1998: the lord of darkness attempts to send the world into darkness. somehow. is thwarted by the crystal of light. weakened but not defeated, tlod leaves x-sector. site is abandoned.

pre-2012: the ministry begins operating fully again. THE SMILER is the new minister of joy. construction begins on an underground facility.

2012: the sanctuary reopens briefly. run by doctor kelman. it's still all messed up but good for research. refining the process of marmalization.
the oblivion wormhole is re-discovered during the construction of the new ministry. as well as the original x-sector site. the ministry gets in contact with the lord of darkness.

2013: using the research gathered from the reopening of the sanctuary, the miles cedars experiments are carried out. unable to return to the original x-sector site, OBLIVION is sent to oversee construction and work with the new ministry in tlods place.
